Biking with Beanzie is a recreational ride sponsored by Kishwaukee Kiwanis Club of DeKalb. Supported by DeKalb County 4-H, Unlimited Performance and League of Illinois Bicyclists. Contributions and proceeds from Biking with Beanzie help fund Bicycle Pathway Projects within DeKalb County.
Biking with Beanzie route options include 23, 46, 64 mile and 101 mile loop. The ride route consists of primarily flat rural roads with some rolling terrain. The 46, 64, and 101 routes wind through scenic Lake Shabbona State Park and the Lee County windmill farm. All roads are well-paved, lightly traveled and posted with signs of Beanzie humor and ride information.

All riders are provided rest and refreshment stops, regardless of the length of the route chosen. Bagels, fruit, and a variety of other food options will be provided at sag stops. Our ride is easy to navigate with a well-marked route, route map, and cue sheet. Friendly sag wagon drivers are knowledgeable about the route and bicycling.

As a sponsor of the Biking with Beanzie Event, you will be investing in our Community. BWB is a “family” event that promotes exercise and family fun. Profits from this event will be invested in Bicycle Pathway Projects, which make DeKalb County a better place to live. Recent rides have had well over 400 riders from the tri-state area.
